PTH1R Program (Osteoporosis)

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a common skeletal disease characterized by loss of bone mineral
density, reduced bone strength and increased fracture risk that affects millions of
patients worldwide, particularly postmenopausal women and older men. Debilitating
fractures from weakened bones can be associated with pain, disability, and increased
mortality.

While currently available therapies can reduce fracture risk, limitations remain, and
there are no oral anabolic therapies designed to build new bone.

Oral Small Molecule PTH1R Agonist for Osteoporosis

Our strategy to address osteoporosis is to develop an oral small molecule that activates
PTH1R to stimulate increases in bone mineral density and improve bone strength, providing a convenient oral anabolic treatment option for patients.
