Mast cells are innate immune cells found in mucosal and epithelial tissues throughout
the body which play important roles in inflammatory responses and allergic reactions
through their release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators. Mast cell-driven
diseases affect millions of patients worldwide and can cause recurrent, debilitating
symptoms across multiple organ systems.

SEP-631: Oral Small Molecule MRGPRX2 NAM for Mast Cell-Driven Diseases

Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X2 (MRGPRX2) plays an important
role in mast cell activation and degranulation. SEP-631 is an oral small molecule
negative allosteric modulator (NAM) in clinical development that inhibits MRGPRX2-
mediated mast cell degranulation and could provide a future treatment option for patients.
